Contemporary "Baur Stool"

About the Baur Stool

You're probably wondering if I had misspelled "barstool" in the naming of this new design. I may be a mediochre speller, but rest assured the spelling is correct. This striking design came about after a client requested the No. 9 Chair backrest be coupled with my Original Barstool design. It was one of those moments when I thought to myself, "Now why didn't I think of that?"

The result is a wonderfully elegant design, with sculptural features and lines that just work together perfectly. In addition, this is a tremendously comfortable way to sit at the counter and watch while dinner is being prepared.

So why is it called the "Baur Stool"? It comes from the client who prompted the idea: the Baur family, of St. Louis, MO.
