About the Armless Barstool

A recent client wanted one of my Original Barstool, but wondered if I could "lose the arms".  After hearing the request, I wondered the same thing myself.  Actually, it wasn't as easy as it sounds. I wanted to remain true to the Sam Maloof inspired design, yet subtract the arms without the barstool looking as though something were missing. Judging from their enthusiastic reception of the result, I think I've accomplished my goals.

Every bit as comfortable as the design which inspired it, this version is splendidly simple yet elegant, and will certainly become the seating of choice for lunch at the kitchen counter.
